John Worsley Productions provides many styles of music: jazz, classical, rock, pop, Brazilian and Latin, among them. The instruments begin with solos, and extend through duos, trios, quartets, to large bands and orchestras. The quality is always tops, and the music is suitable for concerts, shows, parties, weddings, anniversaries--any occasion where music will embellish the event.
John Worsley is a piano player. He worked cocktail hours in Providence for 17 years: two years Allary's, three years at Black Dog Tavern, and twelve years at the Providence Marriott. He was the Saturday night piano player for the Red Rooster restaurant, North Kingstown, for ten years. He currently works at Capriccio's, and at private parties.
He produced three big name jazz series for the Providence Marriott, and has been producing his own shows for 15 years. He knows many people in the music business, and can arrange big time entertainment.
Worsley is also a jazz writer. His doctoral dissertation at Clark University, Worcester, is a History of the Newport Jazz Festival, currently being prepared for publication. He writes a weekly jazz column for The Pawtucket Times, and contributes jazz articles to newspapers and magazines throughout the country. He has also written TV music documentaries.
